The successful candidate will have technical, project management, and market access responsibilities to lead site/civil design projects in the commercial, industrial, municipal and residential markets. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\nResponsibilities\nLead teams in all aspects of site/civil project design including site layout, site planning, grading, storm water management, erosion & sediment control, roadways, utilities, and permitting for commercial, industrial, municipal and residential projects. \nManage design for multiple projects.\nAssist with business development/marketing/proposal efforts.\nOversee, train and mentor junior/mid-level staff. \nWork closely with clients and agency staff, including attendance at public and/or construction meetings and also represent the company at other events as needed.\nAbility to work on multiple project assignments concurrently.\nAbility to work and interact with clients, maintain project budgets and schedules.\nAbility to provide technical expertise to design staff.\nDesire to work in a team environment.\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nMinimum 8 years of directly related experience in the commercial/residential markets.\nBS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.\nVirginia PE license required. North Carolina PE a plus.\nStrong communication skills.\nStrong computer skills utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, storm water modeling software, as well as Microsoft Office programs.\nThe projected range for this position is $ $114,003 to $146,588 annually.
