Structural (Bridge) Engineer

Job Description

Dewberry has an immediate opening for a full-timeBridge Engineer with bridge design experience to work in our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC office. The successful candidate will collaborate with and established team of professionals and contribute to the design and quality control of construction documents for a wide variety of bridge and transportations structures. These include simple and complex bridges, primarily concrete (prestressed) and steel construction, as well as retaining walls, signs and other miscellaneous structures. The candidate will work closely with clients and colleagues, gaining valuable experience on diverse projects. In addition, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with Dewberry’s other structures offices nationwide, providing exposure to and even broader range of challenging and rewarding assignments.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• North Carolina PE license is required or ability to obtain within 1-2 years.
• 3-6 years of progressive experience working on bridge transportation projects.
• Familiarity with NCDOT Standards, Specifications & Guidelines preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
