Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.\nResponsibilities\nManage and coordinate projects with multiple team members.\nConsult with clients.\nStrengthen the vision of Virginia survey operations by partnering with our leadership team to provide direction and guidance to the Gainesville/Richmond survey office.\nCollaborate proactively and productively with other groups and offices across the Mid-Atlantic operating unit. \nOversee survey aspects of civil engineering projects and/or direct preparation of all types of survey plans.\nTrain field staff in land surveying procedures.\nMonitor project schedules, budgets & deliverables.\nPrepare proposals and contracts\nPrepare Easement plast, Study Maps, Boundary Surveys, and ALTAs. \nPrepare route studies, perform courthouse research and deed anaysis. \nCAD oversight and quality assurance.\nPerforming survey computations, data collection, and cut sheet generation.\nRequired Skills & Required Experience\nRegistered Professional Land Surveyor in Virginia or ability to obtain Virginia PLS within six months.\nA minimum of 10 years of professional experience in all aspects of land surveying, including project management experience.\nAAS or BS Degree in Surveying is preferred\nLSIT required.\nA successful track record of building client relationships in the surveying and related mapping industry.\nEffective team building skills.\nExperience with transportation and utility infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.\nExperienced in all aspects of Land Surveying (Land Development a plus).\nPerform Boundary Surveys & ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys & As-built plans.\nData reduction and processing of field files, topographic surveys, etc.\nKnowledge of Trimble Business Center (GPS processing) and AutoCAD Civil 3D software a plus.\nHave the ability to work out of town if required, flexible with work area.\nMust have a clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicle.\nMust be able to pass drug/alcohol screening.\nJoin Dewberry and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
