Frontend Engineer

DexCare is looking for a Front End Software Engineer II who is excited about getting in on the ground floor of a fast-growing startup with a well-established team and multiple large and respected clients. As an engineer in this role, you will be a key part of building out our consumer-facing products from the ground up. You will focus primarily on building responsive, accessible, and performant web applications that serve millions of patients. Candidates should be prepared to interact daily with other engineers, as well as product managers, product designers, and solution architects.

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency at building out highly testable, component-based UI code with strong contracts.
• Proficient with front-end test automation frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library.
• Build accessible, responsive web applications following WCAG standards.
• Proficiency using distributed version control systems, such as Git.
• Demonstrable experience driving the technical design of small to medium-sized features and working with your team on their implementation.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 4 years of relevant on-the-job experience shipping enterprise web applications.
• 3 years building responsive SPAs using React.js and TypeScript.
• 2 years of experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, or equivalent) built on top of Express, Koa, or equivalent middleware.
• Experience building or integrating agentic AI features into front-end applications, including streaming UI patterns, tool use interactions, and surfacing outputs from large language models in production web interfaces.
• Experience using Claude Code for AI-assisted development, including leveraging agentic workflows to accelerate test authoring, framework development, and code reviews.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries, design systems, or shared component libraries (e. g., Storybook, Material UI).
• Experience using logging, monitoring and metric tools such as Splunk and DataDog.
• Experience mentoring more junior engineers.
