In this role, you will partner with data engineers and stakeholders to provide actionable insights and key operating metrics across Dexcom.\nThe Business Intelligence Analyst II supports Manufacturing Operations by delivering accurate, timely, and standardized analytics that enable data-driven decision-making across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role focuses on applying foundational BI competencies to develop dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using established tools, data models, and governance standards.\nWorking under the guidance of Senior and Staff BI analysts, this role partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams to translate business questions into clear reporting and insights while developing deeper technical and analytical skills aligned to the BI Analyst competency framework\nIn addition, this role is expected to lead complex analytics and reporting efforts, oversee junior BI members, and support operational efficiencies and strategic planning through standardized, automated reporting and insights.\nWhat makes you successful:\nYou will develop and maintain basic to moderately complex dashboards and reports using approved BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI.\nYou will enhance and update existing dashboards based on stakeholder feedback and defined business requirements.\nYou will validate metrics and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational KPIs.\nYou will troubleshoot dashboard and data issues, resolving routine problems and escalating complex ones when needed.\nYou will write and maintain basic to intermediate SQL queries, including joins, filters, and aggregations, to support reporting and analytics.\nYou will verify query results against source system data to ensure data correctness and completeness.\nYou will document data sources, definitions, reporting logic, requirements, assumptions, and business rules.\nYou will apply descriptive statistics to analyze manufacturing performance trends, variations, and operational patterns.\nYou will create trend analyses, performance comparisons, and SPC-style visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.\nYou will communicate analytical insights, findings, and limitations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.\nYou will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations teams to support reporting and analytics initiatives tied to safety, quality, delivery, yield, and cost performance.\nYou will continuously build expertise in BI tools, SQL, cloud data platforms, data governance, and best practices while incorporating feedback from senior analysts.\nRequired Qualifications\nYou have a Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nYou have 1-3 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analytics, or a related field.\nYou have hands-on experience building reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.\nYou have a working knowledge of SQL, including joins, filters, and aggregations.\nYou have strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, quality, and consistency.\nYou have effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate in cross-functional environments.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or quality analytics.\nExposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery).\nFamiliarity with Agile or ticket-based workflows (e.g., Jira).\nBeginner-level BI certification (Tableau or equivalent)\nAI/ML experience\nPython Programming experience\nMaster’s degree in Biomedical Data Analytics\nWhat you’ll get:\nA front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
