The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.\nMeet the team:\nIn this role, you will work closely with Data and AI Platform Engineers to design, build, and scale end-to-end data pipelines that power data ingestion, processing, storage, and APIs. These platforms deliver reliable, clean, and meaningful data to both internal and external stakeholders, while also enabling AI-driven insights for consumer and enterprise mobile applications.\n\nAt Dexcom, you can use your software engineering skills for the greater good. If you enjoy connecting the dots, using data-driven engineering decisions, innovating through the server side of our entire platform stack, you’ll enjoy this job.\n\nWhere you come in:\nDevelop cloud-based software systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with in an Agile & Kanban methodology environment.\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines supporting large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and storage.\n\nBuild and evolve backend services and APIs that expose trusted, well-modeled data to internal systems, external partners, and mobile applications.\n\nCollaborate closely with Data Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, and Platform teams to integrate AI insights into production systems.\n\nEnsure data platforms meet high standards for reliability, performance, scalability, and data quality.\n\nApply strong software engineering principles including clean architecture, testability, observability, and automation.\n\nContribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and long-term platform roadmap decisions.\n\nLead by example through code reviews, design mentorship, and technical guidance for junior engineers.\n\nPartner with product, security, and operations teams to deliver compliant, secure, and production-ready solutions.\n\nWhat makes you successful:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or Engineering from an accredited academic university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nDemonstrated experience and ability to coding in a general purpose programming language (Prefer Java/Kotlin/Scala)\n\nHands-on experience building distributed systems, AI services, or data platforms.\n\nSolid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT patterns, and data lifecycle management.\n\nExperience designing and consuming RESTful or gRPC APIs.\n\nStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native services.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.\n\nExperience using AI development tools such as Claude code.\n\nWhat you’ll get:\nA front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
