You will manufacture precision components for our robots, taking parts from engineering drawing or CAD model through programming, setup, first-off inspection and repeat production.\nYou will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams on new components, process improvement and the continued development of automated and unattended CNC production.\nCNC Machines\nThe role will primarily involve the following DN Solutions machines:\nPUMA 2600SYB\nPUMA 1300TT SSYB\nPUMA 2100TT SSYB\nKey Responsibilities\nProgramme, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning centres.\nProduce precision components from engineering drawings, CAD models and manufacturing specifications.\nProgramme and prove twin-spindle operations, live tooling and multi-axis machining processes.\nCreate and optimise CNC programs using Fanuc controls, Fusion 360 CAM and verification software.\nSelect appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, workholding, speeds and feeds.\nManufacture prototypes, small batches and repeat-production components.\nComplete machine setups, including tooling, workholding, datum setting and tool-offset management.\nCarry out first-off and in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment.\nEnsure components meet dimensional, geometric tolerance and surface-finish requirements.\nWork with engineering to provide practical design-for-manufacture input.\nImprove setup times, cycle times, tool life, process reliability and material utilisation.\nTroubleshoot programming, tooling, dimensional and machining issues.\nMaintain clear setup sheets, tooling records and inspection documentation.\nSupport probing, tool-life monitoring, standardised setups, machine tending and lights-out machining.\nSupport other CNC machining activities where required.\nEssential Experience\nStrong, hands-on experience programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.\nExperience with twin-spindle CNC turning.\nExperience programming and operating live or driven tooling.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.\nStrong knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, workholding, speeds and feeds.\nExperience producing and inspecting precision-machined components.\nGood understanding of G-code and CNC program structure.\nAbility to carry out first-off and in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, thread gauges and similar equipment.\nStrong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nA commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.\nHighly Desirable Experience\nY-axis CNC turning and milling operations.\nTwin-turret CNC lathes and synchronised turret programming.\nDN Solutions or Doosan PUMA turning centres.\nFusion 360 CAM or other offline programming software.\nSub-spindle part transfer, simultaneous machining and cycle-time optimisation.\nAutomated machining, probing, bar feeding, robotic machine tending or unattended production.\nHigh-mix, low-to-medium-volume precision manufacturing.\nExperience within robotics, automation, motorsport, aerospace or another advanced engineering environment.\nBenefits\nStarting from the interview process and continuing into your career with us, you will be working by our four Operating Principles:\nPerformance: High standards, outstanding results,\nImpact: Big challenges, bigger results\nCommitment: All in, every time\nOne team: One mission, shared success\nJoining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition.
