You’ll collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Environmental teams to design efficient workflows, reduce waste, strengthen compliance, and create ergonomic, high-performing production systems. If you’re energized by solving complex problems, improving how people work, and building sustainable manufacturing excellence, this role puts you at the center of innovation.\nWhat You’ll Do\nChampion safety, quality, and environmental performance in every process you design and improve.\nDrive value-stream improvements that enhance safety, reduce defects, lower cost, and improve delivery.\nProgram and maintain CNC laser and turret punch press nesting for new and revised parts.\nMaintain routings, labor standards, and support accurate BOM structures.\nConduct machine capacity, utilization, takt time, and inventory studies aligned with customer demand.\nLead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives that eliminate waste and strengthen flow.\nDevelop and maintain facility and equipment layouts that prioritize ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.\nAnalyze data to drive root-cause problem solving for scrap, inefficiencies, and quality issues.\nDesign fixturing, jigs, and tooling for fabrication, welding, and assembly.\nRecommend capital improvements that elevate safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.\nPerform work measurement and time studies to establish accurate labor standards.\nCreate and maintain robotic programs for automated manufacturing processes.\nPartner with Safety and Environmental teams to ensure processes meet regulatory and company standards.\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams to support daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance goals.\nTake ownership of business results and personal wellness.\nPerform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.\nWhat You Bring\nB.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on technical skills\nExperience with sheet metal, welding, assembly, ergonomics, and CI/Lean principles\nProficiency in CAD, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint\nPhysical & Work Environment\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear\nOccasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs\nLight to moderate noise level\nTravel less than 5%\nMust pass background check, physical, drug, and alcohol screenings\nAuthorization to work in the U.S.\nAbout Dexter Laundry, Inc.\nDexter Laundry, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and an employee-owned manufacturer based in Fairfield, Iowa.
