WHAT'S THE JOB?
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Catering & Driver to join our team in Charlottetown, Canada. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality catered meals while ensuring safe and timely transportation. You will represent our organization with professionalism and excellence, managing both food service operations and vehicle logistics to exceed client expectations.
- Prepare, plate, and serve catered meals and beverages according to client specifications and dietary requirements
- Operate catering equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas
- Manage food inventory, track supplies, and place orders to maintain adequate stock levels
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes throughout Charlottetown to ensure timely arrival at events and locations
- Maintain comprehensive vehicle maintenance records and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Set up and break down catering stations, including tables, serving equipment, and decorative elements
- Coordinate with clients and event organizers to confirm delivery times, menu details, and special requests
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the catering vehicle
- Manage multiple deliveries and events simultaneously while maintaining organizational efficiency
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Current food handling certification and knowledge of food safety regulations
- Proven experience in food service or catering operations
- Demonstrated experience operating commercial or passenger vehicles
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Preferred: Previous catering experience with event management
- Preferred: Familiarity with Charlottetown routes and local geography
- Preferred: Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
