We're looking for a motivated, quality-driven Cleaner to join our team. The Cleaner/Housekeeper will ensure a sanitary environment, securing and maintaining tools/equipment used to perform the day to day work and performing other duties as assigned or requested.
Must be able to obtain reliability clearance.
- Perform thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including floors, washrooms, and common spaces, offices and entrances
- Maintaining the floors; vacuuming carpets and dry/wet mopping floors
- Dusting all visible surfaces within reach which includes counter tops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and vents
- Wipes and polishes office furniture and glass windows
- Spot cleaning walls, partitions, light switches and doors
- Operate various cleaning equipment and machines efficiently and safely
- Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom essentials
- Empty and clean waste bins, ensuring proper waste disposal
- Sanitize high-touch areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety protocols and cleaning standards
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment and machines (e.g., auto scrubber, swing machine, burnisher) is an asset
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain (training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods (8 hours per shift)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Clear criminal background check required
