Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together to turn problems into solutions and challenges into moments of ingenuity.\nAs a Area Manager, you will be the senior operational and strategic leader responsible for the overall performance of a major TransLink account spanning multiple physical locations. You will own the client relationship, financial performance, contract delivery, operational excellence, and long-term growth of the account while providing direct leadership and oversight to the site management team.\nThis role requires a highly visible and engaged leader who can balance strategic account management with hands-on operational leadership across multiple sites. You will work closely with site managers, supervisors, team leads, frontline employees, and internal Dexterra stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery, financial performance, employee engagement, and client satisfaction across the account.\nYou will serve as the primary senior point of contact for the client, while maintaining oversight of the physical locations, operational standards, workforce performance, and leadership teams responsible for day-to-day service delivery.\nYour work will include:\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and on-site presence.\nEmbed client retention practices using the Tenacity Client for Life approach.\nAlign key stakeholders through a structured Web of Influence to drive collaboration.\nAct as a strategic advisor, delivering value-added solutions and anticipating client needs.\nDrive revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence across multiple accounts.\nEnsure contract compliance and high service standards through performance oversight.\nPartner with internal teams to meet financial and service delivery targets.\nCommunicate clear expectations and develop high-performing teams through coaching and feedback.\nPromote Dexterra’s culture, Vision, and Values in daily operations.\nIdentify and pursue organic growth and new business opportunities using Miller Heiman methodology.\nSupport bid development with insights into client needs and industry trends.\nPlan staffing resources, coach service teams, and drive continuous improvement.\nChampion safety and uphold Dexterra’s quality standards.\nRecruit, train, and position the right talent to meet operational demands effectively.\n WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?\nPost-secondary education from an accredited university or college in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field is considered an asset.\nMinimum 5 years of management experience directing teams within facilities management, janitorial services, building services, operations, or a related service environment.\nProven experience managing multi-site operations, preferably within a large, complex, unionized, public sector, municipal, transit, or similar environment.\nProven experience managing janitorial or facilities services, with experience in transit, municipal, government, hospitality, or other complex operational environments considered an asset.\nDemonstrated experience managing client relationships and operational service contracts.\nExperience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting, P&L accountability, and cost control.\nProven experience recruiting, training, developing, retaining, and managing the performance of employees and leadership teams.\nExperience managing labour relations, including unionized environments.\nDemonstrated ability to lead managers, supervisors, team leads, and frontline employees across multiple locations.\nStrong understanding of operational standards, quality assurance, health and safety requirements, and service delivery practices.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to understand operational and financial data and translate it into actionable improvements.\nExcellent communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.\nDemonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, employees, and internal stakeholders.\nAbility to travel regularly between multiple physical work sites and attend client meetings as required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other business software applications.\nExperience using mobile or hand-held technology for operational reporting and communication is considered an asset.\nMust successfully complete a criminal record check.\n WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?\nBe part of an industry that's more important than ever!\nAward winning safety culture.\nSupportive team environment with room to grow together.\nEmployee Referral Program.\nWe are growing!\nCertified as aGreat Place to Work 2025-2026 !\nDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
