Transportation is provided to site from a pickup point.\nAs a Housekeeper, reporting to the Head Housekeeper and Lodge Manager, you will ensure the over-all cleanliness of our facilities to the highest level.\nThis posting is for future opportunities within the company at our project in Moosonee, ON.\nYour work will include:\nConducting walk-downs - cleaning 30+ rooms per day and may vary depending on client occupancy.\nFull housekeeping services in guest rooms and hallways.\nMaking the beds and changing linen weekly; or as needed.\nVacuuming and dusting all room furniture blinds including hallways.\nWashing, scrubbing and sanitizing bathroom, windows and mirrors.\nEmptying garbage from all sleeping areas including trash and recycling collection.\nWashing and folding towels, linens and beddings.\nLoading and unloading laundry and linen truck as well as supplies.\nMaintaining an accurate record of all bedding allotted in lodge, assist with the inventory, and report any shortages to the Lodge Manager.\nWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?\nEnjoy excellent work-life balance with a 14 days on/14 days off rotation.\nExtended health and dental benefits that are fully covered.\nTravel time is paid.\nWhereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!\nBe #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader\nFollow Horizon North on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter\n WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?\nYou have a minimum 6 months’ janitorial and/or housekeeping experience\nYou have knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment\nIdeally, you have related experience in remote lodge setting or hotel/institutional environment; commercial cleaning is considered an asset\nYou are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills\nYou have the ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player\nYou are able to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 pounds\nYou are able to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)\n Dexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
