Please visit www.cmimgmt.com to learn more about our company!\n The Maintenance Mechanic will provide operation, inspection, installation, maintenance, monitoring, diagnostics and repair services for HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical systems, and other tasks for CMI’s customer in Washington, DC.\nKey Job Functions\nOperation, inspection, monitoring, diagnostics, repair and maintenance of the HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical systems\nWork with Lead Engineer and other staff to complete tasks related to building maintenance, repair and installation\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and perform physical tasks to include climbing ladders, lifting/carrying equipment & materials and using power tools.\nAbility to work from blueprints, drawings, shop sketches and verbal instruction\nPerform plumbing repairs to toilets, sinks, domestic water systems, sewer, storm, etc.; clear/snake stopped up drains; sweat copper pipe, join/install PVC pipe, etc.\nPerform electrical repairs such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, outlets, etc.\nPerform minor wall repairs, patching, prep and painting.\nCleaning and painting of Mechanical rooms is required occasionally.\nManage contractors and review projects to ensure compliance with building standards, and to ensure that work meets tenant satisfaction\nSome overtime is required and on-call weekend duty rotation (every 4th week) is required.\nAt least a High School diploma\nAt least 5 yrs of relevant experience\nMust be US citizen or permanent resident Alien\nMust pass background check and be able to pass security clearance if necessary\nAbility to work independently and prioritize work\nCommitment to providing superior customer satisfaction\n COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS\nTeamwork\nResults orientation/operational excellence\nHolding self and other accountable\nOperational business thinking\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nCMI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
