The Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day cleaning operations and help ensure that all exterior and common areas of the property are maintained to a high standard.\nThis is an active, hands-on supervisory position in an outdoor environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions, including rain, snow, cold temperatures, heat and other challenging outdoor conditions.\nJanitorial or commercial cleaning supervisory experience is strongly preferred.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise and support a team of cleaners working throughout the property.\nAssign daily tasks and ensure work is completed according to established standards.\nMonitor cleaning activities and inspect areas to ensure quality requirements are met.\nAssist with exterior cleaning, common areas, restrooms, parking areas, stairs, elevators, compactor areas and other assigned locations.\nEnsure employees are using cleaning equipment and supplies safely and correctly.\nRespond to cleaning requests, spills, garbage and other site-related needs.\nAssist with training and onboarding of new team members.\nMonitor attendance, punctuality and employee performance.\nCommunicate operational issues and site concerns to management.\nEnsure all health, safety and company procedures are followed.\nWork alongside the team and assist with cleaning duties when required.\nHelp maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for mall visitors, tenants and staff.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWork Environment\nThis position is based at an outdoor shopping mall, and the majority of the work takes place throughout the exterior areas of the property.\nEmployees must be prepared to work in all weather conditions, including:\nHot and humid weather\nRain\nSnow and freezing temperatures\nWind\nCold weather\nChanging weather conditions throughout the shift\nThe position requires standing, walking and being active throughout the shift.\n Previous janitorial, commercial cleaning or facilities experience preferred.\nPrevious supervisory experience strongly preferred.\nAbility to lead, motivate and support a team.\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks.\nComfortable working outdoors for extended periods.\nAbility to work weekends and holidays.\nReliable transportation to and from the worksite is an asset.\nAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to bend, reach, push, pull and lift as required.\nAbility to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nAbility to operate cleaning equipment safely.\n WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?\nBe part of an industry that's more important than ever!\nAward winning safety culture.\nSupportive team environment with room to grow together.\nEmployee Referral Program.\nWe are growing!\nCertified as aGreat Place to Work 2025-2026 !\nDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
