Operations Managers foster long term relationships by delivering operational excellence to meet client and customer needs. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. The OM also provides direction and expertise to the region by promoting corporate strategies and best practices aligned with our Vision and Values.\nWHAT IS THE ROLE?\nThis role holds expansive responsibilities for the performance of multiple contracts across their district.\nThe key areas they are responsible for include:\nPromote the company values and be a leader in health and safety.\nEngagement with all departments in region with a focus on operational excellence.\nStrong field presence, auditing and reporting on the current state of operations.\nSuccessful interactions with support functions to ensure their region is compliant with corporate vision and priorities.\nCommunity relations with a focus on indigenous relations.\nLiaise with head office and support bi-lingual engagement.\nDay-to-day the OM will perform some or all of the following duties:\nMentor and train all direct reports\nPlans, oversees and operationalizes the business plan in the region\nIdentification, sell and implement new business opportunities in key markets to meet sales target in accordance with the corporate sales model\nContribute to and execute plans and budgets to meet financial targets\nWith support of the District Manager, facilitates, manages, and builds client relationships\nManage a multiple field leadership team to ensure compliance with proper procedures and guidelines.\nStrengthen operational processes to build highly efficient and effective operations.\nLiaise with District Manager, Regional Operations Director and other OM’s and ensure the consistent implementation of strategic initiatives to all field operation groups.\nProvide leadership to the field operations team ensuring effective performance management and continued development.\nSupport the implementation of operational improvements in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, finance, and employee performance.\nCommunicate and share company standards and available resources that assist facility operations.\nIdentify gaps and opportunities and determine root causes in operating standards and overall guest satisfaction.\nCoordinate with other department leaders to find solutions to problems.\nIdentify opportunities and best practices to improve profitability of locations. \nEnsure compliance with employment standards, human rights, health and safety, and WHMIS within all regions.\nAssist in effectively and efficiently managing the development of the Hospitality Operations team to promote high quality customer service and satisfaction.\nOther related duties incidental to the work described herein.\nWorking Conditions:\nTravel throughout northern Manitoba is required. Work will be 75% + based in the field supporting active operations. \nTrained, as necessary, in required safety protocols.\nWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?\nQualifications:\nProven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and think outside the box.\nMinimum of 4 years of Remote Camp Operations (or Comparable) experience.\nPost-Secondary Education in Management, Hospitality, Culinary Management or Business-related degree is considered an asset.\nFamiliar with current industry technology\nDemonstrated market awareness, branding, innovation to create competitive advantage\nDemonstrated ability to attracts, develop, and retain employees\nExcellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills\nDemonstrated financial management skills\nCompetencies:\nExperience in multi-unit management, hospitality industry or hotel industry considered an asset.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to excel in a fast paced, highly challenging and change oriented environment.\nSuperior critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills.\nLeadership and strong people management skills.\nResults orientation/operational excellence.\nHolding self and others accountable.\nMust be able to successfully pass a Criminal Background Check\nMust be able to successfully pass Drug & Alcohol tests\nWork schedule and remuneration:\nOperations Managers work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/1 week off, which may change on occasion due to operations needs. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle.
