Additionally, it supplies ultra-thermal conductivity solutions to optimize power efficiency in advanced microelectronics, electric vehicle systems, and artificial intelligence hardware.

Currently, we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) who will be responsible for ensuring suppliers consistently deliver components that meet Diamond Foundry's quality, reliability, and engineering requirements. As the primary quality interface with suppliers, the SQE drives supplier development through audits, production and process approvals, quality agreements, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The SQE proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates supplier quality risks, leads the resolution of quality issues, analyzes supplier performance trends, and partners with cross-functional teams to implement preventive actions that reduce defects, enhance supplier quality, and support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier Quality Audits - Establish and maintain supplier quality agreements and quality contracts to define clear quality expectations and ensure compliance with company requirements. Conduct supplier quality system audits to verify adherence to these requirements and identify opportunities for improvement. Partner closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging supplier scorecards performance metrics, and KPIs to enhance overall quality performance and strengthen supplier capabilities.
  • Production Approval Process - Review, approve, and monitor supplier control plans, production plans, inspection plans, and quality documentation to ensure alignment with company requirements and quality standards. Collaborate with suppliers to validate process readiness, maintain effective quality controls, and support successful production approval and ongoing manufacturing performance.
  • Quality investigation and SCAR management - Lead investigations of supplier quality issues, nonconformances, customer complaints, and product failures. Issue, track, and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to closure.Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys.Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supplier Quality Management / Single Point of Contact - Communicate supplier quality concerns, corrective actions, and resolution status to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), preferably either: in the semiconductor industry, vacuum process components, instrumentation equipment, or advanced related technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes, including precision machining, welding, surface finishing, and production controls, with experience applying quality management principles to assess supplier capability, process robustness, and product reliability.
  • Proven ability to work independently while effectively managing priorities and meeting deadlines, with a collaborative approach to working across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills that enable effective collaboration in fast-paced, international engineering environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
