The Senior Network Engineer will take on a leadership role in designing and implementing cutting-edge enterprise networks while providing crucial support to our networking practice. This is a client-facing role where the person would play both a pre-/post-sales role while performing as a technology professional.\nThis position requires an individual who is highly motivated, is a self-starter, and is team focused. The right individual has an in-depth knowledge of technical solutions and how they are deployed, is client-focused, and has excellent communication and presentation skills.\nResponsibilities\nLead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications such as the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for clients.\nDesign, implement and transition firewalls, switches, access points, and other network solutions to meet the needs of customers.\nTroubleshoots LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and VoIP equipment, including a broad range of devices (Predominantly Fortinet).\nDevelop and maintain technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans configuration templates and scripts.\nEngage in peer review sessions to aid fellow engineers in optimizing the quality of their deliverables.\nPerform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents.\nMaintain up-to-date industry certifications.\nRequirements\nCulture fit with strong internalization of DGR Core Values as listed below.\nStrong understanding of routing protocols and network technologies (e.g., eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, trace route, Netflow).\nAdvanced, hands-on experience with Fortinet products: FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient, FortiManager, FortiSASE. Fortinet Secure SDWAN, FortiAnalyzer\nMinimum of 5 years of experience with network solutions.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience with network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.\nProfessional or Expert level network certification is required. Fortinet FCSS, Fortinet FCP, Fortinet NSE 4-8\nProfessional or Expert level network certification is preferred. (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba)\nPreferred Aruba switching and AP experience.\nMust have extensive experience designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-grade firewall solutions, with proficiency in network security architectures.\nMust have an understanding of routing protocols and network technologies (e.g., eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, trace route, Netflow).\nMust have expertise in LAN/WAN administration, including configuring DHCP, DNS, VLANs, NAT, wireless technologies, and switches, with strong proficiency in network security integration.\nRequired expertise in network engineering and security firewall architecture; proficiency with Zero Trust frameworks is a bonus.\nEssential to author and adhere to defined network processes and procedures.\nShould produce accurate network diagrams and detailed design documentation for implementation; proficiency with Visio or Lucidchart is highly desired.\nRequired to have expertise in architecting, designing, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN network solutions; proficiency with SD-WAN or cloud networking is preferred.\nEssential to demonstrate experience designing and deploying multi-site network environments with VLANs, MPLS, SSL, and IPSEC.\nRequired to maintain up-to-date expertise in modern security threats and defenses, integrating security into network designs; proficiency with NIST CSF or similar standards is highly desired.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a broader team to achieve objectives.\nAble to clearly communicate detailed technical concepts in both oral and written formats.\nProven track record in guiding clients through the evaluation and selection of technical solutions to address business requirements in a consultative manner.\nMust be willing to travel when needed.\nBenefits\nWhy DGR?\nDGR Systems helps solve the most complex business and operational challenges for their customers.
