We have started with our first step by launching an Investment & Trading platform - Dhan (www.dhan.co) in November 2021.\nWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our product development team.\nThe ideal candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. They will also be involved in the planning and development of the database, troubleshooting any issues, and ensuring efficient and secure database operations.\nExpected Responsibilities:\nDesign, configure, maintain, and monitor MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.\nMonitor database performance, identify issues, and support query and database optimization.\nWrite and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient database performance.\nAssist in database backup, recovery, and restoration activities.\nMonitor database health, availability, and resource utilization.\nTroubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.\nSupport database migration and data transformation activities.\nAssist in setting up and managing database replication.\nSupport database security by managing access, permissions, and basic security controls.\nPerform regular database health checks and audits.\nAssist with database upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity processes.\nAutomate routine database administration tasks wherever possible.\nCollaborate with developers, DevOps, system administrators, and other technology teams to resolve database-related issues.\nMaintain database documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.\nStay updated on database technologies, tools, and industry best practices.\nParticipate in on-call/support activities as required.\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.\n1-4 years of experience in Database Administration.\nGood knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.\nStrong SQL and query optimization skills.\nUnderstanding of database design, schemas, indexes, and normalization.\nBasic knowledge of backup, recovery, and replication.\nGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nUnderstanding of database security and access management.\nExposure to ClickHouse or similar databases is a plus.\nKnowledge of scripting/automation using Shell or Python is an added advantage.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nLocation: Goregaon West, Mumbai (Preference will be given to candidates residing in Mumbai’s Western suburbs).\nApply Now\nIf you believe in making great first impressions and enjoy being at the center of workplace energy, we’d love to hear from you.\nWhy Join Raise?\nWe’re a certified Great Place to Work, and it shows in everything we do - from how we collaborate to how we celebrate wins.
