We are looking for HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Transport team. This is a varied driving role where no two days are exactly the same. You will be responsible for delivering customer products safely, professionally and on time while representing DHL at customer locations across the UK.
The role requires flexibility, including the ability to complete nights out when operationally required, so we are looking for drivers who are comfortable with varied routes and working patterns.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Completing multi-drop deliveries to customer locations including up to two nights out per week when required
- Driving safely and efficiently while complying with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive requirements
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring loads are transported and delivered safely
- Completing manual handling activities as required
- Providing a professional and helpful service to our customers
- Following DHL Health & Safety standards, The Highway Code and all relevant road transport regulations
- Completing nights out when required as part of the role
- Working flexibly to support changing operational and customer requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You will need to:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Hold a valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Ideally have at least 6 months' recent HGV driving experience
- Be comfortable completing multi-drop deliveries and manual handling
- Be flexible regarding working hours, routes and up to two nights out per week
- Start time 4:00 am until 14:00 pm.
- Have a positive attitude and professional approach when dealing with customers
- Put safety at the centre of everything you do
SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT
Whether you're an experienced HGV driver or still developing your professional driving career, you'll be supported by our Transport team.
You'll complete the appropriate assessment and induction process and receive ongoing support to help you understand our customers, routes, safety requirements and ways of working.
