Part of the DHL Express team with our headquarters at East Midlands Airport, we wish to enhance the team to deliver our customer promise of; Excellence, Simply Delivered.\nDHL Air (UK) Ltd. is implementing a new data system in its Safety team, and is looking for a highly driven, well-organised individual to coordinate the implementation of this system. This role offers a unique opportunity to be directly involved in one of the most significant projects within the airline, and to work closely with experienced flight crew, system specialists, and global teams.\nThis position would suit either a graduate seeking their first project role or an individual with previous project coordination or project management experience.\nThe Role:\n\nYou’ll join the Safety and Compliance Department, working with the Safety team to support the implementation and configuration of the new flight data monitoring system. This will involve assisting with data migration, testing, and system validation to ensure the successful transfer of all data, as well as the development of the new system, to meet the company’s increasing demands and maturity in data analysis.\nYou’ll work closely with Engineering and Flight Operations teams too, helping to ensure the data is acquired, managed and utilised effectively across the organisation.\nAreas you’ll be involved in include:\nCoordinating and/or delivering training to users on the new system.\nDetermining and documenting workflows in all areas of the new system.\nTesting of the UAT and live systems for issue rectification.\nOngoing monitoring of the live system once implemented.\nSupporting the transition of data from the previous to the new system. Facilitate the transfer of data to third-party providers as required.\nWorking with colleagues in the Safety Team and contribute to the development of training manuals, including writing system user guides for users with various access requirements.\nDetermining and documenting how to extract data and trends from the system provider in order to produce monthly and quarterly safety reports and statistics.\nManaging the orderly closure of the existing system and ensure that data and records are retained and available in accordance with regulatory requirements.\nUndertaking any other tasks as prescribed by the Safety Manager.\nThe Person:\nIs degree-qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.\nA formal project management qualification (such as PRINCE2) would be advantageous, but is not essential.\nWill ideally have 1-2 years’ experience in a project support, coordination or administration role.\nPrevious experience supporting the implementation of IT systems or databases would be advantageous.\nHas strong verbal and written communication skills.\nHas strong organisational skills.\nHas experience of data analysis, ideally using Power BI or equivalent.\nHas knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nIs familiar with project management techniques and methodologies.\nTo be eligible for consideration, candidates must hold a valid right to work in the UK and be able to provide evidence of this during the recruitment process.\nWhat We Offer:\n\nFixed-term contract (expected to be 12 months, but duration is aligned to project implementation timeline, which could be longer)\nCompetitive salary based on experience level.\nThe opportunity to work with and learn from Safety experts at a world-leading freight operator;\nExposure to Boeing fleets operating across a global network.\nA supportive and professional team environment\nAlongside the above, you will have access to a wide range of DHL benefits designed to support your wellbeing, development, and future.
