As a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, we're building a world-class Accounting Hub in Heredia, and we're looking for an experienced Record-To-Report Accountant to play a critical role in our Finance transformation.\nPurpose of the Job\nThe Finance Accounting Operating Model (AOM) is a strategic initiative within the DHL Supply Chain (DSC) Reimagine Finance Program. Its objective is to establish a new Financial Accounting Operating Model aligned with the implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, delivering cost and efficiency benefits while positioning DSC to fully leverage future digitalization innovations. This is achieved through strict adherence to global standards and continuous process improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain general ledger accounts, including journal preparation, review, and approval.\nPerform reconciliations of financial data recorded in the general ledger against supporting documentation and ensure all balance sheet accounts are valid, accurate, and complete.\nReview and validate CapEx-related purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with group policies and procedures.\nConduct regular reviews of bank open items to ensure timely reconciliation and follow up on any discrepancies.\nReview and monitor the reporting of fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other accounting-related activities in collaboration with the SSC and local finance teams.\nSupport cash management activities, including performing internal and external banking transactions.\nManage IFRS 16 reporting, including reviewing, maintaining, and modifying lease contracts in the lease management database, including embedded lease reporting.\nEngage regularly with country teams and shared services to ensure the completion of common processes.\nDeliver in-scope processes according to agreed KPIs and support performance management initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.\nEnsure data reported in CREST and local accounting systems accurately reflects financial results.\nProvide technical accounting support in collaboration with Accounting Governance.\nEngage with stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up on outstanding actions and issues.\n\nKey Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nQualified or partially qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CPI, ACCA, or equivalent).\n\nQualifications\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in RTR accounting roles (mandatory).\nStrong knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements, including IFRS and applicable local GAAP standards (mandatory).\nAdvanced Excel skills.\nExperience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).\nExperience in U.S. or LATAM Shared Services Centers or Global Business Services environments is preferred.\nAdvanced English proficiency (B2+) is required.\nPortuguese is a plus.\n\nWhat Do We Offer?\nBe part of the Reimagine Finance transformation and help shape DHL’s Accounting Operating Model for the Americas.\nMake a global impact.
