Originally focused on email, we have expanded to a broader solution that integrates multiple messaging platforms (voicemail, SMS, social network).\nQA Strategy\nOn the QA side, we develop and maintain automated tests using Kotlin and Gherkin. Our test coverage extends across:\n- UI tests\n- Backend API tests\n- RabbitMQ interactions (produce and consume RabbitMQ events to validate integration points)\nWe strongly believe in a testing pyramid approach: most checks should live close to the code (unit, component, API, contract and integration tests), with UI and end-to-end tests focused on critical user journeys rather than “testing everything through the UI”.\nWe practice a shift-left approach, involving QA from the earliest stages of feature planning. This ensures we maintain a user-centric perspective, influence implementation details when necessary, and distribute test coverage responsibilities among QA, frontend, and backend teams.\nYou will:\nCo-design test strategies with the team for new features and refactorings.\nImplement and maintain automated tests in Kotlin at multiple levels.\nChallenge designs and technical solutions from a risk and testability perspective.\nContinuously improve our pipelines, tooling, and test reliability.\nTechnical Stack:\nLanguages & Frameworks: Kotlin, Spring Boot, Cucumber\nBuild Tool: Gradle\nCI/CD: GitLab\nBrowser control tool: Selenium\nReporting: Allure Report with Allure Server\nOur team currently consists of:\n3 QA engineers\n7 backend developers\n2 frontend engineers\n1 team lead\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nMinimum6 years of experience, among which at least 3 recent years as a test automation engineer using Java / Kotlin / Groovy / Scala.\nStrong coding skills in a JVM language (ideally Kotlin or Java), with the ability to read and understand production code, review merge requests, and write clean, maintainable automated tests.\nStrong system-level and architectural thinking - you understand how services interact, how data flows through the system, and you use this understanding to design an effective test strategy.\nHands-on experience building test suites across the testing pyramid (unit, component/service, API, contract, integration, and UI/e2e), and a clear opinion on which level is appropriate for each type of scenario.\nA mindset opposite to “cover everything with system-level e2e tests”: you prefer fast, reliable checks close to the code, and use e2e tests sparingly for end-to-end risk and critical flows.\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitLab CI), test reporting, and quality gates.\nAt least 1 year of experience with Selenium.\nExperience with UI, API testing, database testing.\nCritical thinking and a “bug hunter” attitude: you actively look for edge cases, failure modes, and real user behavior, beyond the happy path.\nHigh curiosity and willingness to dive deep into how the product and its ecosystem work (infrastructure, messaging, integrations, deployment pipeline)\nStrong autonomy and leadership potential.\nExcellent communication skills, proactivity, self-learning.\nWhat We Offer:\nA collaborative and innovative team environment.\nThe opportunity to work on cutting-edge distributed communication systems.\nReal ownership on quality for a core domain of our platform -
