Play a significant role to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues and others. Working safely within the team, aware of hazards within your work area, wider site and operating procedures and preventing incidents from occurring\nFlexibility working in your core job role as well as supporting other areas, where required and when trained to do so.\nKey Accountabilities\nCompliance with all Health and Safety, Environmental, and HMRC requirements. Actively committed to attaining site aspiration of zero accidents.\nFollow standard operating procedures, identify and manage hazards and risks, and report hazards or incidents promptly.\nEnsure the safe movement of casks and spirit in line with established procedures and Diageo’s safe systems of work across Maturation sites.\nWork to daily and weekly plans, support wider business targets, and respond promptly to any deviations.\nMaintain product integrity and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.\nSupport the Site Management Team in implementing and maintaining Manufacturing Management Systems (MMS).\nParticipate in operational review meetings, root cause problem solving and other site improvement initiatives, to monitor and improve performance, keeping safety as the top priority.\nCommunicate clearly and effectively with team members and colleagues across functions, both verbally and in writing, to ensure smooth operations.\nOperate Maturation equipment safely and efficiently, following the relevant procedures and training provided.\nTrain and coach colleagues when required, sharing knowledge and supporting team development.\nComplete all required training outlined in the Diageo training matrix and achieve the required level of competency for the role.\nTake ownership of your development by continually building your skills and experience to support your team and the wider business. \nExperience/skills required:\nA good understanding of occupational wellness procedures.\nThe ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Support and training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.\nExperience working in whisky warehousing would be an advantage.\nPrevious manual handling experience is helpful but not essential.\nA positive, proactive “ can-do, will-do” attitude, with the right behaviours and willingness to learn.\nBasic computer/digital literacy.\nGood numerical skills.\nA Valid UK driver's license preferred\nWorking with Us\nFlexibility is key to our success.
