The candidate will be responsible for driving cloud transformation initiatives, improving infrastructure reliability and scalability, and mentoring cloud and infrastructure engineering teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nCloud & Compute Leadership\nLead the architecture, deployment, and management of enterprise-scale cloud and compute environments.\nManage cloud compute services, virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and associated infrastructure.\nDrive cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives across applications and infrastructure.\nEnsure high availability, scalability, performance, and resilience of cloud platforms.\nEstablish cloud governance, standards, best practices, and operational processes.\nManage and optimize enterprise on-premises and hybrid compute environments, including physical and virtual server infrastructure.\nLead and manage server and virtualization platforms including VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, and Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI).\nCloud Architecture & Engineering\nDesign secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions.\nEvaluate and implement cloud services across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.\nLead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including virtualization, containerization, and cloud-native technologies.\nReview technical designs and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams.\nIdentify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nAutomation & DevOps\nDrive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.\nImplement and improve CI/CD processes for infrastructure and application deployments.\nPromote automation for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, patching, and operational tasks.\nWork closely with DevOps, SRE, application, and security teams to improve deployment and operational processes.\nSupport container and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nInfrastructure Operations\nProvide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure operations and production environments.\nEstablish and monitor SLAs, SLOs, availability, capacity, and performance metrics.\nLead incident, problem, and change management for critical cloud infrastructure.\nParticipate in root-cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.\nDevelop disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and high-availability strategies and responsible to execute Annual DR activities.\nEnsure infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability management, upgrades, and capacity planning.\nManage enterprise cloud and on-premises Windows/Linux server environments.\nManage enterprise virtualization environments across VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix/AHV, and Azure Local.\nManage enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure using Azure and Commvault\nExperience with SCOM and enterprise infrastructure monitoring, including health, availability, and performance monitoring.\nSecurity & Compliance\nPartner with security teams to implement cloud security controls and best practices.\nEnsure appropriate identity and access management, encryption, network security, and security monitoring.\nSupport compliance requirements and cloud security assessments.\nImplement least-privilege access and secure configuration standards.\nIdentify and mitigate infrastructure and cloud security risks.\nLeadership & Stakeholder Management\nLead and mentor cloud, compute, infrastructure, and platform engineering teams.\nProvide technical direction and support career development of team members.\nCollaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, cybersecurity, DevOps, and business stakeholders.\nManage technical vendors, cloud service providers, and strategic partners.\nPresent architecture, infrastructure strategy, risks, and transformation plans to senior leadership.\nDrive technical decisions and ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.\nPoint of contact for OEM / internal teams and ensure for on time renewals of contracts\nExperience/skills required:\nMinimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, compute platforms, or related technologies.\nStrong hands-on and architectural experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\nStrong knowledge of cloud compute services such as EC2, Azure Virtual Machines, GCE, autoscaling, load balancing, and serverless technologies.\nStrong understanding of Cloud architecture and design, Virtualization, Compute and storage, High availability and disaster recovery, Monitoring and observability, Cloud security\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration.\nExperience with DevOps tools and CI/CD platforms.\nExperience with scripting/automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.\nExperience implementing cloud migration and modernization programs.\nStrong understanding of cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization.\nExperience leading technical teams and large-scale infrastructure initiatives.\nStrong experience with enterprise on-premises server and virtualization technologies, including VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix/AHV, and Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI).\nExperience with enterprise backup and data protection platforms, preferably Commvault, including backup, recovery, retention, capacity management, and disaster recovery.\nProvide governance and oversight of enterprise infrastructure monitoring using SCOM
