Together with passionate people from all over the world, you’ll test new ideas, learn and grow, and unlock a brighter, more exciting future.\nJoin us to create a career worth celebrating.\n\nAbout the Function\nThe Governance Department is vital in supporting the distillation and maturation processes at the Diageo Gimli Distillery to ensure the production of high-quality whisky for the Crown Royal Brand.\nAbout this role\nThis position as part of the Governance Team will play a key role in delivering on the safety and quality commitments of the organization in ensuring that Diageo’s high standards are maintained.\nRole Responsibilities:\nTesting/inspection of incoming grain to ensure conformance to specifications.\nAnalytical testing on process samples and finished product to ensure adherence to specifications\nOperation of various laboratory instruments, including HPLC, moisture analyzer, and NIR Spectrometer.\nYeast cell counts.\nSensory analysis of distillates and maturates.\nMaintain Sensory Laboratory, sensory standards, and shipping sensory samples.\nSupport compliance with ISO 9001 and Quality Management System.\nDelivery of Quality Objectives as assigned.\nData Entry and administrative assistance.\nOther duties as assigned by the Governance Team.\nExperience/skills required:\nProven experience working in a laboratory setting or relevant equivalent.\nExperience with HPLC analysis.\nProficient with computers, working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize.\nAttention to detail and good organizational skills.\nFlexibility is key to our success.
