Full Stack Engineer

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Frontend Product Development

• You will build and own key parts of the Diagna.ai web application.
• This would include work queues for referrals, faxes, emails, and patient outreach.
• Document review and correction interfaces.
• Patient and appointment detail pages.
• Dashboards for clinic operations.
• Status tracking for automation jobs.
• Human-in-the-loop review screens for AI-extracted information.
• Admin panels for configuring clinics, providers, locations, rules, and workflows.
• Internal tools for debugging, QA, and operations.
• You should be comfortable building clean, fast, reliable interfaces where users can review complex healthcare information efficiently.

RPA and Browser Automation:

• A major part of the role will involve building automation workflows for systems that do not expose clean APIs.
• You would work on automations such as logging into healthcare portals or EHR-related web applications.
• Navigating multi-step web workflows.
• Uploading or downloading documents.
• Filling forms based on structured extracted data.
• Checking patient/referral/appointment status.
• Updating information in third-party systems.
• Handling retries, failures, screenshots, audit logs, and edge cases.
• Building automation flows that are robust enough for production use.
• You should be excited by the challenge of making brittle real-world web workflows reliable.

Backend and API Integration:

• Although the role is frontend-heavy, you should be comfortable working with backend APIs and data models.
• You may work on REST APIs for frontend features, integrations with backend services, job status APIs for long-running workflows, data validation and transformation, and PostgreSQL-backed workflows.
• Event-driven systems involving queues and background jobs.
• Integration with document processing, AI extraction, and communication systems.
• You do not need to be a backend specialist, but you should be able to understand and contribute to backend code when needed.

The core requirements for the job include the following:

Frontend

• Strong experience with React.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience building production web applications.
• Good understanding of component design, state management, forms, tables, and dashboards.
• Ability to build clean, usable interfaces from rough requirements.
• Familiarity with modern frontend tooling such as Next.js, Vite, Tailwind CSS, or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of selectors, DOM structure, network requests, sessions, cookies, downloads, and uploads.

Backend / Full Stack:

• Ability to work with REST APIs.
• Experience with Node.js / Express.js or similar backend frameworks.
• Basic understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Ability to understand data models and API contracts.
• Understanding of services, controllers and routes.
• Comfortable working with authentication, authorisation, and role-based access patterns.

General Engineering:

• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with Git and standard development workflows.
• Comfort reading documentation and integrating third-party systems.
• Good written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
