If you receive a suspicious communication claiming to be from Dialogue, do not respond - report it to  and verify the role on our official careers page.\nYour role as Senior Software Developer, Backend\nReporting to Dylan Cattelan, Manager, Software Developer the mission of the Senior Software Developer, Backend is to design and evolve the scoring, availability, and redistribution systems that turn provider capacity and member demand into fast, reliable appointments at scale.\nWhat you'll be doing\nBuilding, improving, and operating mission-critical applications and API services\nWorking closely with Operations and other non-technical, external stakeholders to build the shared context needed to align on the right solution\nIdentifying, refining, and prioritizing work items by business value in collaboration with the product manager\nWriting and participating in the elaboration of technical design documents to align the team on clear solutions\nWriting accurate, readable, testable code and maintainable test suites which set a good example for other developers\nImproving the skills and effectiveness of other developers through code review, documentation, and direct guidance\nWe'd love to hear from you if you have\nHave 5 years + of meaningful backend experience : services, APIs, distributed systems, and data modelling.\nFeel comfortable designing software and communicating with colleagues about your decisions and tradeoffs.\nHave familiarity with event-driven architectures, or are willing to learn on the job.\nHave familiarity with data synchronization architectures, or are willing to learn on the job.\nHave built or contributed to automation-heavy systems, schedulers, decision engines, or domain workflows involving complex business rules.\nAre comfortable integrating optimization logic (e.g., OR-Tools/CP-SAT) or ML-driven outputs into production backend flows.\nCare deeply about correctness, reliability, and idempotency, especially in systems that modify real-world schedules.\nAre fluent in modern backend tooling: CI/CD, version control, automated tests, observability stacks, and infrastructure-as-code.\nAre comfortable working collaboratively across functions-with data scientists, data developers, DevSecOps, and operations teams.\nExperience with React Native / Front-end frameworks is a plus.\nAt Dialogue, your well-being is our priority\nTaking care of others also means taking care of our team!
