Your role

You’ll help build and maintain Dialpad’s Workforce Management (WFM) product. WFM enables contact centers to forecast demand, plan staffing, create schedules, and manage their workforce. You will also work across broader company initiatives to incorporate agentic workflows into the contact center space.

This is a full-stack role with equal emphasis on frontend and backend. You’ll independently deliver scoped features across the React frontend and TypeScript backend. 

You’ll work with Product, Design, and Engineering to turn customer needs into reliable and maintainable features, while collaborating closely with peers to raise the team’s technical bar.

What you’ll do

• Build features across WFM and Agentic product areas.
• Build accessible and responsive interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Develop APIs and services using TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Write clear, modular, and well-tested code.
• Leverage AI well to increase quality and velocity of delivered code.
• Contribute to technical designs with support from experienced engineers.
• Review code and share constructive feedback with teammates.
• Investigate production issues and participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with Agentic platform, Product, and Design teams to drive feature development.
• Contribute to improvements in engineering practices, tooling, and documentation.
• Integrate Agentic capabilities into customer workflows.
• Learn and apply new Agentic technologies as Dialpad’s platform evolves.

Skills you’ll bring

• 5+ years of professional experience building production web applications.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills.
• Experience developing backend services and APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
• Experience writing frontend or backend tests.
• An understanding of software design, performance, and maintainability.
• The ability to debug problems across multiple parts of an application.
• Experience independently delivering projects.
• A collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback.
• Strong ability to leverage AI to accelerate your work.
