The role is accountable for setting the strategic direction, governance framework, operating model, control environment and data quality agenda for Finance GBS master data while staying aligned to overall Enterprise MDM strategy. The Director will partner with global process owners, tower leads, Finance leadership, IT, compliance and audit teams to improve master data accuracy, strengthen controls, reduce downstream process issues and enable scalable service delivery across Finance GBS.\n MDM Strategy and Governance\nOwn the Finance GBS master data strategy, roadmap and operating model, covering both in-house and outsourced delivery.\nEstablish global policies, standards, controls, ownership and decision rights for Finance master data.\nProvide governance across master data domains, regions and systems, including prioritization, escalation and exception management.\nAlign MDM priorities with Finance GBS objectives, global process owners and business requirements.\nGlobal MDM Operations and Service Delivery\nLead the Hyderabad MDM organization and oversee end-to-end master data operations across customer, vendor, material and other applicable Finance data domains.\nManage both in-house and outsourced delivery through clear accountabilities, service levels, operating routines and performance expectations.\nEnsure consistent execution of master data creation, maintenance, validation and deactivation in accordance with policies, controls and service expectations.\nBuild and develop the MDM team, including organization structure, role clarity, capability development, performance management and succession coverage.\nDrive standardization of request intake, approvals, documentation and exception handling across regions and systems.\nData Quality, Controls and Technology Enablement\nOwn the Finance GBS master data quality and control agenda, including KPIs, monitoring, issue remediation and audit readiness.\nEnsure master data processes comply with internal controls, segregation of duties, regulatory requirements and data governance standards.\nPartner with process owners and IT to address root causes of data issues and strengthen ERP workflows, validation rules, integrations and system controls.\nRepresent Finance GBS MDM requirements in ERP changes, system enhancements and broader technology initiatives.\nTransformation and Capability Building\nOwn the MDM improvement roadmap, including process simplification, automation, workflow enhancement, data cleansing and duplicate reduction.\nUse performance data and stakeholder feedback to improve service quality, productivity and control effectiveness.\nStrengthen functional capability through training, documentation, knowledge management and adoption of consistent MDM practices.\nPartner with Finance GBS transformation teams to connect master data improvements with broader process performance and value delivery.\n Education / Experience / Expertise \nMaster’s degree in accounting or related field required.\n\nData governance, ERP, Six Sigma, PMP or master data management certifications are preferred.\n\nExperience in global manufacturing, technology, services, or complex multinational environments preferred.\n\nMDM and Finance Expertise\n18+ years of experience across master data management, Finance operations, GBS/shared services or data governance.\n\nDeep understanding of Finance master data and its impact on PTP, OTC, RTR, financial controls and operational performance.\n\nStrong knowledge of MDM governance, data quality, ERP-enabled workflows, internal controls and audit requirements.\n\nGlobal Operations and Transformation\nProven experience leading a global MDM function across multiple regions, business units and ERP environments.\n\nExperience designing or transforming an MDM operating model, including capability setup, offshore transition and management of in-house and outsourced delivery.\n\nDemonstrated ability to drive standardization, technology enablement and sustainable process improvement at scale.\n\nBusiness and Stakeholder Leadership\nStrong business acumen, with the ability to translate master data issues into operational, financial, control and customer impact.\n\nProven ability to align and influence senior Finance, Operations, IT, Compliance and Audit stakeholders in a global matrix organization.\n\nAbility to simplify complex issues, establish clear priorities and communicate effectively with executive leadership.\n\nPeople and Organizational Leadership\nProven experience building and leading high-performing teams, developing leaders and establishing clear accountability.\n\nStrong track record of managing performance, building functional capability and creating succession depth.\n\nExecutive presence and the ability to lead through ambiguity, organizational change and competing
