If you thrive in a fast-paced telecommunications environment and meet the desired qualifications, we’d love to hear from you!\nWe are currently seeking a highly motivated Inventory Accountant to join our Shared Services Finance Team at the Digicel Nabua office, reporting to the Inventory Accounting Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!\nThe Inventory Accountant is responsible for closing month end inventory reports within the month end timetable. They are also responsible for reporting actual results versus budget and forecast, on a weekly basis. The Inventory Accountant will need to ensure that strong working relationships are built with all other functional areas to ensure high levels of customer service are achieved. Other major responsibilities for this role include adherence to compliance and continued process improvement.\nCore responsibilities:\nPerform daily invoicing and receipting for inventory-related transactions\nClose month-end inventory reporting and reconciliations within agreed timelines\nEnsure inventory sub-ledgers reconcile accurately to the General Ledger and physical stock records\nPrepare and reconcile inventory-related balance sheet accounts at month end\nCoordinate weekly cycle counts and month-end stocktakes, investigate variances, and process inventory adjustments\nCalculate and review landed costs for all inventoried items upon receipt\nReview aged debt reports for inventory sales on a daily basis and follow up on exceptions\nCalculate and post Subscriber Acquisition Cost (SAC) journals at month end and provide weekly SAC movement reports to department heads\nPrepare aged inventory reports and calculate provisions for obsolete or slow-moving stock\nMaintain weekly reconciliations for Revenue from Contracts with Customers in accordance with IFRS 15\nReview, prepare, and post month-end journals\nSupport budgeting and forecasting processes by providing inventory and cost analysis\nPartner with commercial and operational teams to analyse inventory movements, margins, and cost drivers\nDevelop, document, and continuously improve inventory accounting processes in line with accounting standards and best practice\nMonitor and maintain strong internal controls over inventory, identifying risks and recommending mitigation actions\nEnsure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and delegated authority limits\nEnsure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of inventory data across financial and operational systems\nSupport system enhancements, testing, and user acceptance for inventory-related changes\nLiaise with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements\nBuild and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across all functional areas\nAssist with ad hoc requests and group reporting requirements as required\nAcademic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:\nQualified accountant with at least 3 years plus experience in a similar role\nExperience of working with WMS and broader Supply Chain Team\nExperience of working with Great Plains an advantage.\nExperience of working with a Retail POS system will be an added advantage.\nHighly organised and efficient with strong attention to detail\nProven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities\nStrong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nProactive team player with the ability to work independently\nStrong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships\nAbility to challenge constructively and escalate issues when required\nHigh level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism\nResilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)\nWhy Join Us?\nWe foster an innovative work culture that encourages fresh ideas, offering a competitive compensation package with benefits like medical and life insurance, a mobile handset, call credit, staff Unwired internet & Sky Pacific plans, study leave, a recharge day for relaxation, and many more exciting perks for the right candidate!\nThink you’re the perfect fit?
