Your drive and ideas will help us move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.\nWhat you’ll do\nYou’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:\nGroup Accounting Policy & Governance\nDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve the Group Accounting Policy Manual\n\nEstablish clear, practical accounting guidance for business units\n\nEnsure alignment between policy, IFRS requirements, and business application\n\nDrive consistent application of accounting policies across all entities.\n\nTechnical Accounting Advisory\nAct as the subject matter expert on IFRS and complex accounting matters\n\nPrepare technical accounting papers and position memos\n\nSupport business units in applying appropriate accounting treatments.\n\nFinancial Reporting Compliance\nEnsure the Group’s consolidated financial results are technically compliant with IFRS\n\nReview financial statements and disclosures for technical accuracy\n\nSupport the preparation of annual and interim financial reports\n\nIdentify and mitigate technical accounting risks.\n\nNew Standards & IFRS Implementation\nMonitor new and amended accounting standards\n\nAssess their impact on the Group and support implementation\n\nTranslate IFRS updates into actionable internal guidance\n\nAssist with training finance teams on new requirements.\n\nAudit & Risk Management\nSupport engagement with external auditors on technical accounting matters\n\nProvide robust technical documentation and analysis\n\nContribute to reducing audit findings and technical reporting risks\n\nStrengthen governance and internal controls over financial reporting.\n\nStakeholder Support\nPartner with operational finance, tax, treasury, and legal teams\n\nProvide clear, practical guidance on complex transactions\n\nDrive understanding and consistent application of accounting treatments.\n\nTraining & Communication\nConducting workshops and training sessions on accounting policies.\n\nDeveloping quick-reference guides and FAQs for policy users.\n\nEnsuring policies are accessible and understandable to non-technical users.\n\nThis list covers your core responsibilities - with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.\nWhat you’ll bring\nYou’re someone who brings:\nCA(SA) or equivalent accounting qualification.\n\n5-7 years experience in technical accounting or policy writing\n\nStrong understanding of IFRS and regulatory frameworks.\n\nExperience in drafting accounting manuals or technical memos.\n\nExperience working with external auditors and managing audit processes.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.\n\nExcellent technical writing and presentation skills.\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations.\n\nExperience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals.\n\nExpertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope.\n\nDesirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve\nIt would be great if you also have some of the following skills:\nIn-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends.\n\nPrevious experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations.\n\nFamiliarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards.\n\nExperience in developing and executing customer retention strategies.\n\nFamiliarity with SOX Compliance, or compliance within a listed environment.\n\nHands-on experience with business and financial software preferred.\n\nMS Dynamics Business Central.\n\nFloQast, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1/Cognos) and Workiva are a plus.\n\nOur values are non-negotiables\nOur culture is underpinned by core values that are linked to key behavioural competencies.
