You will build server-side services and APIs in Python, design the databases behind them, and develop React interfaces that consume those services.\nThe role involves solving performance-intensive problems involving data-dense interfaces, large datasets, and live updates where responsiveness and low latency are critical.\nKey Responsibilities\nFrontend Development\nBuild responsive, high-performance interfaces using React or Next.js with TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.\nBuild data-dense views, including virtualised grids and tables that remain smooth across tens of thousands of rows, with pivoting, filtering, and export.\nIntegrate visualisation libraries such as Chart.js, Plotly, or D3.js for dynamic charts and dashboards over financial time series.\nDeliver live updates to the client through WebSockets as actuals and guidance arrive.\nManage application state and optimise render performance using memoisation, code splitting, and lazy loading where appropriate.\nEnsure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and adherence to UI/UX best practices.\nBackend Development\nDesign and build server-side services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.\nImplement authentication, authorisation, role-based access control, and per-client data entitlements.\nUse Celery and message queues such as Redis or RabbitMQ for asynchronous and scheduled work including bulk exports, model builds, and data refreshes.\nWrite clean, modular, well-tested, production-grade Python code.\nDatabases and Application Data\nDesign, manage, and optimise SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Redis.\nWrite efficient queries, design schemas for time-series financial data, and manage migrations.\nImplement caching strategies that keep response times low without serving stale figures.\nDeployment, Quality and Collaboration\nContainerise applications using Docker and docker-compose, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.\nDeploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nTest, debug, profile, and optimise application, API, and query performance at scale.\nWork closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other developers, and participate in code reviews.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n2-4 years of relevant experience as a Full Stack Developer, Python Developer, or in a similar role.\nStrong hands-on experience with at least one Python framework: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.\nSolid understanding of RESTful API design and development.\nHands-on experience with React or Next.js, along with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.\nFamiliarity with Celery or message queues for asynchronous and event-driven processing.\nProficiency with Docker and experience deploying containerised applications.\nUnderstanding of web security fundamentals including authentication, authorisation, and common OWASP risks.\nExperience with Git and agile development.\nComfort with complex business logic and real-world datasets, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nGood to Have\nExperience rendering large datasets in the browser using virtualisation, canvas-based grids, or libraries such as AG Grid.\nExperience with WebSockets and real-time application features.\nExperience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest, Jest, Playwright, or similar.\nExperience with observability and application performance monitoring.\nCloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nKnowledge of data security and compliance best practices.\nInterest in AI/ML or Generative AI.\nAdditional Job Details\n Work Type: Work from Office;
