You will translate business objectives into scalable solution designs and provide technical governance from discovery through go-live.\nIn this role you will shape the technical approach, resolve cross-system decisions and ensure that customer requirements can be delivered without compromising platform integrity. The role is customer-facing, pragmatic and accountable for technical readiness rather than slideware alone.\nThis role sits at the heart of our Conversational AI practice. Our customers are consumer-facing brands running contact center and digital engagement at scale, and they will look to you as the subject-matter expert on how Conversational AI is designed, integrated and operated in production.\nResponsibilities:\nLead technical discovery and convert business outcomes into architecture, integration and non-functional requirements.\nAct as the customer-facing subject-matter expert on Conversational AI and CCaaS, building credibility with customer stakeholders from day one.\nArchitect Conversational AI solutions across voice, messaging and digital channels using ElevenLabs, OpenAI and Strands.\nDesign multimodal and multithreaded interaction flows that hold up on latency, concurrency and state management at production scale.\nDefine solution boundaries, data flows, security patterns, environments and integration approaches.\nDefine integration patterns between Java/Spring Boot backend services and Python-based AI/MLOps modules on AWS.\nProduce architecture diagrams, decision records, interface contracts and implementation guardrails.\nReview technical designs and critical changes; identify risks before they reach testing or production.\nFormulate multi-option solution blueprints that clearly detail trade-offs, implementation complexity and strategic alignment.\nGuide Customer Engineers and Product Engineers through difficult tradeoffs and escalations.\nMaintain technical governance across concurrent implementations and reusable product patterns.\nOwn architecture and technical approval, delegating implementation execution to Customer Engineers while remaining available for reviews and escalations.\nPartner with Product Engineering on reusable capabilities, without committing roadmap scope outside product approval.\nWhat success looks like:\nSolutions are technically feasible, scalable, secure and supportable before implementation begins.\nMaterial design decisions are documented and understood by customer and internal teams.\nIntegration and non-functional risks surfaced early, with credible mitigation plans.\nMeasured by solution quality, technical readiness, design rework, production stability and stakeholder confidence.\nRequirements:\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\nExperience: 8+ years in enterprise software delivery, including 3+ years in solution or integration architecture.\nProven hands-on experience designing and delivering Conversational AI solutions in production.\nStrong hands-on proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, required for all client-facing and backend work.\nStrong hands-on proficiency in Python, required for all AI and MLOps work.\nHands-on experience architecting on AWS with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL; working familiarity with React-based frontends.\nExperience integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI) and Voice AI platforms (e.g., ElevenLabs) into production systems.\nExperience designing multimodal (voice, text, digital) and multithreaded/concurrent systems.\nDeep experience with APIs, event-driven integration, identity, cloud architecture, data design and production operations.\nStrong command of security patterns, environment strategy and non-functional requirements across enterprise deployments.\nAbility to lead customer workshops and explain complex decisions to executives and engineers.\nTrack record designing systems that moved successfully from discovery into production.\nGood to have:\nHands-on experience with consumer-facing CCaaS tools (Messaging, Digital AI and/or Voice AI).
