If you have experience supervising an accounting team and enjoy being hands-on, then DCI could be a perfect fit for you!\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe Accounting Supervisor oversees payroll, accounts payable, and core accounting operations for a multi-entity, multistate, and international organization. This hands-on leader ensures accurate, compliant processing; understands the business behind the numbers; identifies anomalies; and strengthens systems and controls.\nPayroll Oversight\nSupervise and support end-to-end payroll for all US entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in every state where employees work.\nMonitor remote and hybrid work locations, manage state registrations, and oversee state-specific leave, withholding, unemployment, and workers’ compensation requirements.\nReconcile payroll to the general ledger, tax filings, and benefit invoices; resolve variances and agency notices.\nReview quarterly and annual filings, year-end W-2 processing, payroll accruals, and allocations across entities and departments.\nAccounts Payable Supervision\nSupervise AP staff and review invoice matching, approvals, coding, and entity and department allocations.\nApprove payment runs and enforce segregation of duties, vendor bank-change verification, and other fraud-prevention controls.\nOversee vendor records, W-9s, 1099 reporting, AP aging, cash requirements, intercompany payables, and foreign-currency payments.\nGeneral Ledger, Close, and International Accounting\nPrepare and review journal entries, close-calendar tasks, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation for multiple entities.\nCoordinate monthly reporting with international offices and local accountants, ensuring consistency with company policies and US GAAP.\nRecord and reconcile intercompany activity\nRevenue and Tax\nSupport accounting for subscription, wholesale, and international product revenue, \nPrepare Washington combined excise tax returns and manage multistate sales and use tax compliance, nexus monitoring, registrations, digital-product taxability, and exemption certificates.\nProvide schedules and data for income tax provisions, returns, census, and audits.\nControls, Leadership, and Improvement\nMaintain controls and documented procedures over payroll, AP, cash, and the general ledger; serve as a key contact for financial, payroll, sales tax, and regulatory audits.\nSupervise, train, and develop payroll and AP staff; cross-train team members and maintain coverage procedures.\nPrepare management analysis, investigate root causes, and implement process, automation, ERP, and payroll-system improvements.\nStay current on relevant payroll, tax, and accounting requirements and communicate impacts to the Controller.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years of hands-on multistate payroll and 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role.\nExperience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and foreign currency transactions; international subsidiary exposure preferred.\nWorking knowledge of Washington B&O tax and multistate sales and use tax, including economic nexus.\nStrong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across functions, time zones, and external advisors.\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and payroll systems.\nIf you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement, we encourage you to still apply. Base pay is reviewed at a minimum on an annual basis.\nPay range: $104,800.00 - $133,800.00 per year. To ensure equity, our compensation philosophy is to bring people into new roles in the range of the mid-point of that role. Factors considered for pay include the level of skill, experience, training, external market factors, and internal value.\nProfit sharing bonus: Over the last 3 years, quarterly bonuses ranged between 10% and 18%.
