The role focuses on designing and maintaining robust cloud environments that ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and rapid deployment across the energy sectors critical supply-chain operations.\nYou will manage infrastructure that supports 24/7 reliability for operators, contractors, and suppliers, enabling real-time collaboration and system resilience at industrial scale.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nInfrastructure and Cloud Management\nDesign, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.\nManage and optimise Azure resources including compute, storage, networking, and security services.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.\nConfigure and maintain container orchestration platforms (AKS, Docker, Kubernetes).\nSecurity and Compliance\nApply security-first principles across all infrastructure components and deployment pipelines.\nConduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.\nEstablish and maintain access controls, secrets management, and encryption strategies.\nImplement secure communication protocols and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and related frameworks.\nAutomation and CI/CD\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.\nAutomate deployment, testing, and monitoring across multiple environments.\nDevelop scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.\nImplement automated security scanning and compliance checks.\nMaintainability and Documentation\nProduce clear, comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes.\nMaintain up-to-date runbooks, deployment guides, and troubleshooting documentation.\nEnforce coding standards and best practices for infrastructure code.\nDevelop and test disaster-recovery and business-continuity plans.\n\nMonitoring and Performance\nImplement end-to-end monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or equivalent tools.\nOptimise system performance and resource utilisation.\nConduct root-cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures.\nCollaboration and Communication\nPartner closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.\nCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nParticipate in architectural reviews and propose improvements.\nMentor junior team members and share knowledge across the organisation.\nRequired Qualifications\n\nEducation and Experience\nBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of five years post-graduation experience in DevOps or similar roles.\nProven success managing production environments at scale.\nTechnical Skills\nDeep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including:Virtual Machines, App Services, Container Instances\nNetworking (VNets, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, ExpressRoute)\nStorage Solutions and Databases\nActive Directory and Identity Management\nSecurity Center and Key Vault\n\nStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management tools.\nProficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).\nExpertise in containerisation and orchestration technologies.\nKnowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.\nSolid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security.\n\nCore Competencies\nSecurity mindset: ability to embed security in every design and operational decision.\nDocumentation excellence: consistent production of clear and maintainable documentation.\nCommunication skills: strong written and verbal skills with confidence engaging executives and engineers alike.\nProblem-solving: analytical approach with calm under pressure.\nContinuous learning: commitment to staying current with emerging tools and technologies.\nWillingness to travel for client implementations and operational support.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAzure certifications (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer).\nExperience operating across multi-cloud environments.\nFamiliarity with GitOps methodologies.\nBackground in software development or system administration.\nPrior exposure to the oil and gas sector or willingness to learn MRO supply-chain complexities.\n\nWhy Join Us\nAt digital.enterprises, AI is a partner to people, not a replacement.
