The Data Engineer will also build scalable tools and work with data warehousing systems needed to support customers.\n This person can work remotely from any of the following states: California (CA), Colorado (CO), Connecticut (CT), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Kentucky (KY), Massachusetts (MA), Michigan (MI), New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), North Carolina (NC), Pennsylvania (PA), South Carolina (SC), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), Virginia (VA), Washington (WA).\nGeorgia residents are encouraged and welcomed to join us a couple days/week in our Peachtree Corners, Georgia office.\nPlease note, at this time, Digital Envoy is not sponsoring visas for this position.\nWhat You'll Do:\nDesign, build, and maintain customer-facing data products like Matchbook and LocID using PySpark on AWS EMR\nOrchestrate end-to-end Airflow workflows, from supplier data processing to on-demand customer batch requests\nDeliver data products across AWS S3, Snowflake, and Google Cloud Storage, partnering with other engineering teams to enable real-time access\nWrite complex SQL (including geospatial) to answer high-value business questions for customers and internal stakeholders\nDevelop tooling in Python, Spark, and PostGIS to acquire, curate, and enrich spatial data\nUse modern AI tools like Claude Code to accelerate development, analysis, testing, and documentation\nRequirements\nWho You Are:\n7+ years of data engineering or relevant industry experience\n4+ years experience and working proficiency with Spark\nStrong Python Skills\nAdvanced proficiency with SQL, comfortable with complex joins and window functions\nFamiliarity with orchestration systems, preferably Airflow\nExperience with AWS data engineering products (S3, EMR, Athena...) or similar tools from other cloud providers\nSelf-initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset\nStrong communication skills\nPassion for data\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical areas like Math, Statistics, and/or other Engineering degrees\nNice-To-Haves:\nWorking knowledge of Scala\nProficiency with building Tableau dashboards\nExperience with spatial data, joins and operations\nFamiliarity with Snowflake \nExperience with Machine Learning \nBackground in AdTech or Cybersecurity fields \nWHAT WE OFFER:\nCompetitive Salary & Bonus program\nMedical, Dental and Vision\nPaid Holidays & Unlimited PTO policy\n401(k) with employer contribution match\nWe value your input: make a real impact in a growing company!\nAbout Digital Envoy:\nIn 1999, Digital Envoy introduced the concept of privacy-sensitive IP-based geolocation and IP Intelligence.
