This is achieved through maintenance, testing and surveillance of all assets installed.The Site Engineer III (Shift) is responsible for the planning and control of all day-to-day maintenance activities in cooperation with the Lead Engineer and provide leadership to the site teams, including project management for maintenance related activities.The Site Engineer III (Shift) role is critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and deliver client satisfaction, and when applicable being part of a 7x24 shift rotation.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead and manage maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities across critical electrical, mechanical, and technical systems\n\nPlan, schedule, and oversee day-to-day maintenance activities in collaboration with Site Management and Lead Engineers\n\nAct as an escalation point for complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions\n\nLead switching procedures and ensure smooth execution of system changes with minimal disruption to operations\n\nManage incident response, including on-call duties and execution of Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)\n\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, approved processes, and regulatory requirements\n\nCoordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of work\n\nMaintain and review documentation, including MOPs, Change Requests (CRs), and EOPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance\n\nProvide leadership, mentoring, and training to junior engineers, supporting team development and recruitment efforts\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including energy efficiency, operational optimization, and ad hoc infrastructure projects\n\nWhat you’ll need\n5+ years of experience in mission-critical operations and maintenance of large-scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems. Chargeman A4 license is required.\n\nTechnical education or certification in mission-critical operations or a related engineering field\n\nVocational training or equivalent experience in a technical or site engineering discipline\n\nStrong hands-on experience in maintaining electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems\n\nFamiliarity with fire detection and suppression systems (preferred)\n\nBasic knowledge of elevators (conveyor systems) and/or security systems (CCTV, access control)\n\nProficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment\n\nRelevant internal or industry certifications (e.g., Digital Realty or equivalent)\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges\n\nProactive, customer-focused mindset with a drive to enhance service delivery\n\nHands-on approach with strong attention to detail\n\nResilience and ability to perform effectively under pressure\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nProven leadership ability, including mentoring, coaching, and guiding technical teams\n\nA bit about us\nDigital Realty brings companies and data together by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
