You will also help establish technical standards, review architectural designs and mentor fellow network engineers. maximise the value of their technology investments.\nIdeal Profile\nProfessional Experience\nAt least 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise or service provider networking.\n\nExtensive experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise infrastructure.\n\nProven ability to design and manage large, complex, multi-site networks.\n\nExperience supporting international customers and collaborating with geographically distributed technical teams.\n\nBackground in an MSP, systems integrator or enterprise managed services environment is advantageous.\n\nNetworking & Technical Expertise\nAdvanced knowledge of routing, switching, network security and high availability.\n\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI networking principles and enterprise network architecture.\n\nPractical experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, routing policies and network optimisation.\n\nProficiency in MPLS, VRF, VXLAN, QoS, multicast and resilient network design.\n\nHands-on expertise with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms, including IOS, IOS XE and NX-OS.\n\nExperience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Secure Firewall, VPNs and secure enterprise connectivity.\n\nKnowledge of Cisco ISE, network segmentation and identity-based access controls.\n\nFamiliarity with network monitoring platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, SolarWinds, PRTG or equivalent.\n\nStrong packet capture, protocol analysis and root cause investigation capabilities.\n\nAutomation & Emerging Technologies\nFamiliarity with Python, Ansible, REST APIs and network automation frameworks.\n\nUnderstanding of configuration management, network programmability and infrastructure-as-code practices.\n\nExposure to software-defined networking initiatives.\n\nPreferred Certifications & Additional Experience\nActive CCIE certification, preferably in Enterprise Infrastructure, Security, Data Center or Service Provider, is highly desirable.\n\nCCNP Enterprise, Security or Data Center, or CCDE certification.\n\nRelevant Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud networking certifications.\n\nITIL Foundation or an equivalent service management certification.\n\nExperience with Cisco Meraki, Catalyst SD-WAN, SD-Access and Cisco ACI.\n\nKnowledge of hybrid cloud networking across Microsoft Azure and AWS.\n\nExposure to Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet or other enterprise security incidents.\n\nResponsibilities\nNetwork Architecture & Design\nDesign enterprise, data centre, campus and WAN network solutions that align with business and technical requirements.\n\nLead network assessments, architecture reviews, capacity planning and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.\n\nDevelop high-level and low-level designs, network diagrams, implementation plans and configuration documentation.\n\nEstablish network standards, security baselines and consistent configuration practices.\n\nRouting, Switching & Infrastructure Delivery\nDeploy, configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching infrastructure.\n\nDesign and resolve complex routing environments using BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and EIGRP.\n\nImplement advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 services, including VLANs, STP, VRF, MPLS, QoS and multicast.\n\nDesign resilient WAN connectivity, redundant routing and complex multi-site network environments.\n\nInvestigate routing instability, convergence issues, latency, packet loss and performance challenges to optimise network traffic.\n\nImplement and maintain Cisco Catalyst and Nexus infrastructure.\n\nSupport Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, SD-Access, Catalyst Center and Cisco ACI environments where applicable.\n\nIntegrate enterprise, data centre and cloud networks while implementing high availability and redundancy.\n\nNetwork Security & Access Control\nConfigure and troubleshoot Cisco Secure Firewall, Cisco ASA, ACLs, network segmentation, VPNs, IPsec and secure remote access.\n\nIntegrate Cisco ISE, 802.1X and network access control solutions.\n\nCollaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, compliance requirements and network security investigations.\n\nAdvanced Troubleshooting & Service Reliability\nLead technical responses to critical outages and serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex network incidents.\n\nPerform packet captures, protocol analysis and root cause investigations, implementing permanent corrective actions.\n\nStrengthen proactive monitoring, preventative maintenance and overall network reliability.\n\nAutomation & Network Modernisation\nDevelop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, REST
