results, and ensuring clients receive accurate, insightful reporting.\nAbout the Client\nYou will be working with an Australian financial services and technology-driven organisation that delivers outsourced finance operations to businesses across the construction, trades, professional services, and broader services sectors.\nThe organisation combines accounting expertise with technology-enabled financial processes to provide comprehensive financial management services, including accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end reporting, and financial oversight.\nOperating on a proprietary platform built using Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365, the business places a strong emphasis on automation, accuracy, and operational efficiency.\nYou will collaborate with finance professionals in Australia and a technology development team in Sri Lanka, contributing to an environment where financial expertise and software innovation work closely together.\nIdeal Profile\nEssential Qualifications & Experience\nProfessionally qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka, CA ANZ, or equivalent).\n\nStrong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.\n\nHands-on experience using Xero for accounting and financial reporting.\n\nProven experience reviewing financial records and reports across multiple client accounts or portfolios.\n\nStrong understanding of month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, and balance sheet reviews.\n\nAbility to work independently, exercise sound financial judgement, and identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial information.\n\nExcellent written English communication skills, particularly in preparing clear, professional commentary for clients.\n\nPreferred Qualifications & Experience\nPrevious experience in an accounting practice, outsourced finance function, or similar professional services environment.\n\nFamiliarity with accounting platforms such as MYOB, Dext, ApprovalMax, or equivalent solutions.\n\nExperience collaborating with software development teams on financial process automation.\n\nExposure to Australian taxation and regulatory compliance requirements.\n\nResponsibilities\nFinancial Review & Month-End Close\nReview and validate month-end financial close activities across a portfolio of Australian client accounts.\n\nExamine reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.\n\nIdentify inconsistencies, financial discrepancies, and potential reporting issues, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.\n\nProvide an independent second-level review of client financial records to maintain strong financial controls and reporting quality.\n\nManagement Reporting & Financial Commentary\nReview management reports prepared for clients, ensuring financial information is accurate, relevant, and clearly presented.\n\nPrepare insightful written commentary explaining financial performance, key movements, and areas requiring attention.\n\nEnsure management reporting delivers meaningful financial insights to support informed business decisions.\n\nPayment Review & Financial Controls\nReview payment runs to verify accuracy and completeness before they are submitted to clients for authorisation.\n\nMaintain appropriate financial oversight and contribute to consistent quality assurance across client portfolios.\n\nSupport the integrity and reliability of financial review processes.\n\nFinance Systems & Process Automation\nCollaborate with the Sri Lanka-based software development team to enhance automated accounting and financial workflows.\n\nProvide financial expertise to help define process requirements, expected outcomes, and appropriate validation controls.\n\nIdentify potential weaknesses or inaccuracies in automated processes and recommend improvements.\n\nSupport the development of scalable, accurate, and efficient financial management solutions.\n\nLeadership & Financial Oversight\nWork closely with the CFO to maintain reporting accuracy and financial control standards across client accounts.\n\nProvide financial oversight and continuity during the CFO's absence.\n\nCollaborate with finance and technology colleagues to strengthen operational processes and financial reporting
