Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.\nResponsibilities\nAbout the Position\nProject Management & Design\nManage civil engineering team activities and support project managers / technical staff in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects across the company.\nLead design team(s) on a variety of municipal and land development infrastructure projects related to water supply, sewers, roads, site servicing and waste management.\nLead and provide technical direction of functional design, detailed design for the development of construction documents and specifications for tendering and construction.\nLead construction administration of civil projects including road, sewer, water supply, stormwater management and others.\nWe empower our teams to automate the routine so they can focus on high-value, creative problem-solving. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.\nSustainable Business Development\nIdentify and develop of new business opportunities.\nLead the maintenance of existing client relationships, including preparation of proposals and statement of qualification.\nBusiness travel to other Dillon offices upon request.\nLearning and Development\nCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development\nInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees\nQualifications\nA degree in civil engineering.\nLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months.\nFive years’ professional work experience in municipal / infrastructure engineering. \nExperience\nExperience & Attributes\nDemonstrated success in the leadership of multidisciplinary project teams and business development.\nExperienced in the design and construction management of various municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, stormwater management works, underground and surface site servicing works, and/or waste management facilities.\nExperience with trenchless technologies and applications would be an asset.\nIn depth knowledge of contract administration services and requirements.\nExpert knowledge of municipal servicing standards and environmental approvals requirements.\nDemonstrated skills in public and agency consultation.\nStrong proficiency in proposal and report writing, presentations, communications, organization and interpersonal skills.\nWorking knowledge of current AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D software will be considered an asset.\nCompensation $80,000 - $120,000At Dillon, we believe in transparency. The following salary range is what we expect to offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
