Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.\nResponsibilities\nAssist with assignments including community planning, land use planning, land development, planning approvals, permitting, as well as consultation and engagement, among other responsibilities. \nConduct research and data analysis.\nPrepare reports and presentations.\nPrepare agendas and schedules, record meeting minutes, and write memos. \nDevelop, coordinate and participate in consultations and engagement programs.\nCollaborate with team members across various disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.\nParticipate in external client meetings. \nProvide additional support as needed.\nLearning and Development\nCommit to self-development, ongoing learning, and professional development.\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.\nQualifications\nA degree in Planning that is recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP)\n2 to 4 years of relevant planning experience, preferably in the consulting industry\nEligibility for membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI)\nExperience\nFamiliarity with municipal planning policy and legislation, and the land development process\nFamiliar with local, Provincial and Federal agencies' permitting and approvals processes\nExperience conducting or facilitating consultations and engagement programs. IAP2 certification is considered an asset.
