The successful candidate can be based at any one of our following offices: Kingston, Hamilton, Windsor, & London.\nWe offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and Project Management\nContribute to the technical expertise on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects including:Design of traffic signals and illumination\nPrepare lighting and traffic signal layouts\nPrepare wiring diagrams and electrical details\nPhotometric analysis of lighting systems\nDesign of low voltage electrical distribution design for subdivisions\nVoltage drop calculations\nPrepare contract documents and specifications\nSite visits and contract administration\n\nCoordinate variety of multi-disciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients\nBusiness travel to other Dillon offices upon request\nLearning & Development\nCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development\nInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees\nQualifications\nA degree in electrical engineering\nLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months\nA minimum of 5-10 years' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry\nIMSA Certifications in Traffic Signal Level I and Level II Design, Roadway Lighting Technician Level I and Level II considered an asset\nExperience\nProven experience in the design of traffic signals and illumination\nKnowledge of AGi32 and other lighting calculation programs\nKnowledge of various municipal and MTO lighting and traffic signal design standards\nKnowledge of MTO Contract Preparation System (CPS)\nKnowledge of ANSI/IES, Transportation Association of Canada standards and Ontario Electrical Safety Code as they relate to lighting and traffic signals\nStrong abilities in project management/coordination\nExceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential\nCompensation\n$85,000.00 - $135,000.00\nDillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
