The successful candidate will be based at our Fredericton office.\nWe offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.\nResponsibilities\nWhat your day will look like\nCoordinate and complete field programs for Hazardous Materials Assessment surveys, including asbestos and lead sampling and assist in air emissions testing programs;\nComplete documentation of field activities, site health and safety meetings, among others in paper and digital formats (as required);\nCompletion of activities including preparation of sampling plans, collection and compilation of field data, digital geo-referenced data, and completion of field notes;\nMaintain standard protocols for field data collected and reporting standards for Hazardous Materials Assessments\nAssist in preparation of assessment reports, including: compilation and analysis of data, microscope analysis, and sample inventory; \nOperate, calibrate, and maintain project specific equipment;\nCoordinate with laboratories, clients, subcontractors, third-party stakeholders;\nProviding assistance to project managers on a variety of multidisciplinary teams, with the opportunity develop into a Project Manager;\nContributions to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.\nLearning and Development\nCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development; and\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.\nQualifications\nA degree and/or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Hazardous Materials Management, Environmental or related disciplines.\n0-2 years of experience in environmental consulting will be an asset;\nAbility to collect field data according to provincial and/or federal requirements;\nA valid driver’s license;\nVersatile, adaptable, and willing to conduct a variety of tasks;\nExperience\nTechnical knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, guidelines, best practices and monitoring protocols related to hazardous materials;\nHazardous materials training;\nProficient in data entry, data compilation and the management of databases;\nProficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint);\nStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills; and\nProficient in the writing of technical reports.\nWhy choose Dillon\nDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
