The successful candidate can be based at any one of our following offices: Windsor, Oakville, Hamilton, North York, Kingston.\nWe offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.\nResponsibilities\nMunicipal Infrastructure System Modelling & Analysis\nServe as the technical lead for hydraulic modelling assignments for municipal clients, utilizing complex modelling software.\nPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling using InfoWorks ICM (1D and 2D), PCSWMM (1D and 2D) and other closed conduit modelling platforms. \nModel development, calibration, and analysis of storm, sanitary and combined sewer systems for dry weather and wet weather flows.\nDevelop and implement strategies for master servicing plans.\nModel, analyze, and interpret results, documenting findings in technical reports.\nWater Resources Design\nProvide technical input for the delivery of water resources projects for both public and private sector clients.\nUndertake and lead hydrologic and hydraulic modelling assignments, including the analysis of surface drainage, dual drainage systems, bridges and culverts, erosion and scour protection.\nDevelop and implement stormwater management strategies to mitigate flooding for land development projects.\nModel, analyze, and interpret results, documenting findings in technical reports.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide technical input for complex or unique assignments.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff. \nBusiness Development\nIdentify and develop new business opportunities.\nBusiness travel to other Dillon offices upon request.\nLearning & Development\nCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.\nInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.\nQualifications\nUndergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering or applicable technical degree.\n5+ years’ relevant experience in a consulting environment or working on municipal infrastructure engineering projects in Canada.\nLicensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or the ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred.\nValid driver's license.\nStrong understanding of municipal and provincial design standards.\nProficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM (1D/2D), HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, and related computer models.\nUnderstanding of sanitary system model calibration for both dry and wet-weather flows.\nExcellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.\nA self-motivated individual looking for advancement opportunities.\nExcellent initiative and attention to detail.\nExperience\nDemonstrated experience in the design and analysis for water resources projects including stormwater management, and transportation drainage.\nDemonstrated proficiency in storm and sanitary infrastructure modelling, analysis, and calibration for both dry weather and wet weather flows using InfoWorks ICM and/or PCSWMM would be considered an asset. \nConducting Inflow and Infiltration analysis and basement flooding studies to support municipal infrastructure projects would be considered an asset.\nExperience and proficiency in Water Distribution modelling, analysis, and calibration using industry-leading software (InfoWater, WaterGEMS/WaterCAD) would be considered an asset.\nDemonstrated experience in project management and coordination.\nProven ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nA commitment to quality and client satisfaction. \nCompensation\n$70,000 - $120,000\nDillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
