Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.\nResponsibilities\nAbout the Position\nProject Management & Design\nLead the strategy and drive the execution of high-value engineering solutions that position our firm as the premier technical partner for complex projects.\nDiversify by collaborating with internal experts across environmental science, planning, and management to deliver holistic solutions that go beyond standard engineering.\nManagement of acoustics, noise and vibration projects for facilities (including oil and gas facilities, power generating facilities, and industrial/manufacturing facilities), transportation projects, Land Use Compatibility Assessments, etc.\nProvision of technical support to junior level staff on project work including monitoring, modelling, development of abatement strategies, and regulatory liaison\nWe empower our teams to automate the routine so they can focus on high-value, creative problem-solving. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.\nSustainable Business Development\nProactively seek and cultivate new, long-term business opportunities that align with our sustainability goals and drive responsible growth.\nProvide strategic leadership to strengthen and expand existing client relationships, with a focus on long-term partnerships and on developing strong, value-driven proposals and statements of qualification.\nTravel to other Dillon offices as needed to support collaboration, share knowledge, and drive growth across the firm.\nLearning & Development\nCommit to self-development, ongoing learning, and professional development.\nDrive continuous learning and mentor junior staff in data science and digital project delivery methodologies, developing the next generation of tech-forward leaders.\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.\nQualifications\nLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in your field or eligible to register.\nA degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline\nProven expertise in acoustics, noise and vibration, usually developed through 10+ years of experience in consulting or related fields, with a track record of technical leadership.\nExperience\nExperience in many of the following areas of service:environmental noise\nindoor acoustics\nland development assessment\nnoise monitoring\nvibration monitoring and assessment\nnoise abatement\n\nKnowledge of acoustic assessment study requirements and facility permitting procedures\nAn understanding of federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations pertaining to noise issues\nDemonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary project teams and driving business development and growth.\nAbility to work independently and thrive in an environment that provides quality, solution-oriented consulting services\nStrong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills\nCompensation $75,000-$120,000At Dillon, we believe in transparency. The following salary range is what we expect to offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
