Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.\nResponsibilities\nPlanning & Design\nContribute to planning or policy projects including research, report writing, fieldwork and stakeholder, rights holder and regulatory consultation\nSupport policy development for land use plans and other community plans and projects, as needed, based on inputs from research and engagement\nWork with and support intermediate and senior planners in carrying out approvals/permitting processes for a range of land development projects\nPrepare and contribute to planning documents and reports including background reports, analytical and rationale reports, and plans\nConduct and contribute to detailed research, including jurisdictional and legislative framework reviews\nSupport the development and implementation of Indigenous, community and stakeholder engagement strategies\nPrepare engagement and meeting materials, including summaries and memos, presentations, information panels, activities, and informational content for project websites\nCollaborate with technical and professional staff from across the company to complete assignments\nSupport client relationships and business growth, including proposal writing\nEnsure professionalism and personal accountability for time management, quality control, troubleshooting of project work, and meeting timelines and budget\nLearning and Development\nCommit to self-development, ongoing learning, and professional development.\nDrive continuous learning and mentor junior staff in data science and digital project delivery methodologies, developing the next generation of tech-forward leaders.\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.\nQualifications\nA degree in planning, geography or a related field\nEligibility for membership with the New Brunswick Association of Planners (NBAP)\nStrong writing skills; proficiency in report and plan writing\n5+ years’ related work experience, preferably in the consulting industry\nExperience\nFamiliarity with municipal planning policy and legislation and the land development process\nFamiliar with local, Provincial and Federal agencies permitting and approvals processes\nSkills in spatial analysis, graphic design, and presentation graphics (e.g., GIS, SketchUp, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign) is considered an asset\nExperience conducting or facilitating public consultation programs for a range of stakeholders\nExperience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset\nPreparation of high-quality deliverables\nAbility to think critically and strategically\nResponsible, organized, accountable, and committed to excellence on all levels\nHighly developed communication and interpersonal skills\nVersatile and adaptable with ability to work in a self-directed, multidisciplinary team setting\nIn addition to a competitive base salary, Dillon offers:\nFlexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement options to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life\nEmployee share purchase planDillon is 100% employee-owned, and share ownership is open to all employees.
