Our team specializes in managing comprehensive environmental approvals from planning through construction, leveraging innovative engagement tools and deep regulatory knowledge to streamline project delivery. The next generation of environmental planning will not be built by simply repeating what has always been done.\nThis is a new position and is based at our Vancouver office. Your background may be in infrastructure, energy, utilities, municipal services, resources, industry, government, environmental approvals or another area of environmental planning. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.\nLearning & Development\nCollaborate generously across disciplines and offices, sharing ideas and creating space for others to contribute.\nContribution to the career development of less tenured staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring\nContinue your own development with support from respected leaders in environmental assessment, planning, permitting, engagement and compliance across Canada.\nContribute to Dillon’s profile through professional associations, committees, publications, presentations or industry conversations.\nQualifications\nA university degree or post-graduate college diploma in planning, environmental studies, biology or a related field.\nRelevant professional experience, typically 5+ years for an intermediate role or 10+ years for a senior role, preferably in consulting or a comparable client, government or industry environment.\nExperience\nExperience delivering Environmental Assessments, impact assessments, planning studies, permitting and approvals, or related environmental assignments as a project manager, environmental lead or key project team member, at a level appropriate to your experience.\nA strong working knowledge of the legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, permitting processes and approval requirements relevant to your areas of practice.\nExperience designing or delivering stakeholder, public and Indigenous Community engagement programs, including virtual or technology-enabled engagement approaches.\nExperience with business development, client development and responses to RFPs is expected for senior candidates and considered an asset for intermediate candidates.\nExperience with environmental management during construction, including environmental management plans, monitoring and documentation-is considered an asset.\nCompensation:\n$110,000 - $150,000\nDillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
