Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and Project Delivery\nLead technical design and delivery for transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, structural, electrical and water resource engineers, transportation systems planners, environmental planners, environmental scientists, technical support staff, etc.)\nContinuous development of technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, including transportation master plans, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design and construction phase services\nParticipate in the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of civil infrastructure designs, including EA documentation\nParticipate in the preparation of Contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimates\nManagement and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations\nBusiness Development\nPrepare estimates and project proposals \nContribute to the leadership and growth of the Transportation group\nContribute to the development of public and private sector client relationships and new business opportunities\nBusiness travel for project meetings and to other Dillon offices upon request\nLearning & Development\nCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development\nContribute to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring\nContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees\nQualifications\nA degree in civil or transportation engineering\nLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months\nA minimum of 8 years' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry \nExperience\nProven experience in environmental assessment, preliminary and detailed design of municipal and provincial transportation facilities. Experience with the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario and alternative project delivery models would be an asset\nDemonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary projects and teams\nExceptional abilities in project management\nIn-depth understanding of business issues associated with consulting engineering and planning\nProven skills in public and agency consultation\nExperience in the geometric design of highways, municipal roads and intersections\nStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D or Bentley OpenRoads would be an asset\nExceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential\nCompensation\n$82,900 - $132,900\nAt Dillon, we believe in transparency. The following salary range is what we expect to offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
