Our team of curious and passionate technologists collaborate, develop insights, weigh variables and create the tech that enables the innovative, research-driven financial and technical products that improve our client’s financial lives.\nJob Description\nDimensional Fund Advisors is seeking undergrad or graduate level students actively pursuing a degree to join our 2027 summer internship program. This nine-week program will expose interns to the day-to-day activities of engineers in the technology department. Hands-on training, interesting opportunities, and mentorship from professionals will equip you to leave the internship with real-world Financial Services and Technology industry experience.\nResponsibilities:\nInterns will gain insight through in-depth learning sessions and will have opportunities to help drive creative solutions to challenging problems working in an agile environment. With mentorship from an experienced professional, interns will have the ability to own a project that creates business value and showcases your technical chops. At the completion of your internship, interns will present their work to management, peers, and key stakeholders.\nDesirable Experiences and Qualifications:\nCurrently pursuing an undergraduate or specialized master’s degree, preferably in a computer science or engineering program, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 - June 2028.\n\nExperience writing applications in one or more programing languages.\n\nExperience writing automated tests and using version control.\n\nFamiliarity with one or more of the following areas: DevOps, database platforms, server infrastructure, or cybersecurity.\n\nComfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments.\n\nExperience working in Agile environment.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship\n\nThings we value:\nAbility to absorb and apply information from formal and informal learning.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nDetail-oriented, organized, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in a team environment.\n\nSelf-starter who is curious, proactive, and capable of creative solutioning.\n\nDimensional offers a variety of programs to help take care of you, your family, and your career, including comprehensive benefits, educational initiatives, and special celebrations of our history, culture, and growth.\nIt is the policy of the Company to provide equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
