Application services are key components of the platform, as they provide foundation services that include workflow automation, event-driven integration, ETL, and security tooling in support of software development.\nWe are looking for a hands-on engineer to join our team and own the platform’s monitoring and alerting strategy. This strategy includes supporting the platform’s current monitoring capabilities in addition to evolving them for future use.\nYou may be a fit for this role if you:\nAre open-minded, curious, and resourceful\nAre passionate about/stay current with modern technologies\nSolve problems systematically and transparently\nShare ideas, solicit/integrate feedback, design and solve collaboratively\nTake a software engineering approach and demonstrate automation and security mindsets\nWhat you might work on:\nDesign and engineer one or more application services, including workflow automation, messaging/queuing systems, application security, and ETL\nEngage with application development teams and internal customers to assist with their utilization of application services\nDevelop software solutions using scripting, back-end, and/or front-end technologies\nBuild automation to support the configuration, testing, and deployment of software and infrastructure\nCollaborate with subject matter experts in a variety of areas to drive the success of our developers, business users, and clients\nStay abreast of emerging technologies and partner with technical product owners to define service roadmap\nQualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience\n10+ years of experience developing software solutions\n5+ years of experience developing modern software-driven infrastructure and/or platform services\nExperience designing, implementing, and/or supporting workflow automation systems, messaging/queuing systems, and/or ETL frameworks\nComfortable troubleshooting vendor software systems\nDeep familiarity with Linux and related technologies\nFamiliarity with Windows and related technologies\nExperience developing software in Python (or equivalent), Terraform (or equivalent), and Ansible (or equivalent)\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
